This blog is going to be moving; I’m working out the details now, but I’m going to be bringing otabek back at a new blog with a new alias. I likely won’t promote him here but simply will follow those who ask and those I trust.
HE SITS DRAPED IN melancholy soliloquy, his lonely nature bittersweet as grass turns from SOFT && tickling to hard as knives, frosted BLADES against his ankles, crunching as a leg SHIFTS over them idly. the only warmth comes at seeing how NATURALLY otabek cares for the halfling child that has grown so attached to him, but even THAT cannot melt his frozen heart, cannot burn away the storm clouds shrouding the SPARK of his eyes. he’s come to care too much, && now he must pay the price for such foolish attachment.
gut instinct leaves him PULLING back as the hand finds his face, though only a heartbeat later, he sags back into that hand. his eyes CLOSE, unable to remove himself entirely from the affection now that it is shown to him. ‘ i don’t need a BABYSITTER.
‘ the words are soft && short, all the tremor of a hymn hovering in the way his voice SHAKES.

Deep gaze glances down at the ice that forms at the other’s feet, noting it though not bringing it up. There’s something to be said for the entire location; alone and in nature, peaceful yet entirely alone all in the same breath. Momentarily his gaze drifts to the child, watching as small wings flutter as he explores nature, a soft warning to not go too far from otabek keeps him close by but not attached as he once had been.
When Yura pulls from his hand hurt flashes behind his eyes, expression changing for a mere moment before then turning back to their soft, warm gaze when he sags in. “I’m not being your babysitter,” he replies, his voice firm despite it’s gentle tone. Leaning down he brushes their lips together for a moment, “I’m only interested in you.” The words are a promise, only for Yuri to hear, words meant solely for the fairy prince.
LIKE CRACKLING FIRE, LIPS split, bright && resplendent, atop CHERUBIC features. he grins, a LAUGH hidden in the corners of burgeoning dimples as he waves viktor’s name off with boyhood impudence. ‘ && yet, i’ve ALREADY outskated him. ‘
he GRINS, almost challenging someone to take him down. ‘ i’m the threat HE should be looking after. ‘
He can’t help it, the other is too easy to get going, and it’s funny to see him come to life in such a way. It reminds Otabek that while he’s a champion, he’s still able to laugh and have fun. “Mmm, that you have, but we don’t know what he’ll come back.” that’s a grin as he watches the other. “You’ve always been a threat, but now it’s more real.”

This is a private & selective blog for Otabek Altin from mitsurou kubo's Yuri!! On Ice. I operate on a mutuals only basis, due to preferences with school & work. There will be mature themes on this blog, but they will all be tagged properly. I promise that even if these rules seem daunting they're pretty much common sense, but I would really appreciate you at least skimming them!

Otabek is not my original creation, the character belongs to mitsurou. I do, though, own the development and headcanons that I write for my own portrayal of him; I request that you do not copy or take these from my blog and claim them as your own. All graphics are created for me by kotyurik, and all icons are made by myself or kotyurik with a psd also created by kotyurik. These are her (or my) intellectual property and as such do not take them.
CONTENT
This blog will contain mature content - including nsfw. Please understand that I will attempt to tag everything I can with the proper tags, but I am human and make mistakes. I do understand what it's like to have a phobia, and as such I do try very hard to cover my grounds. If there is something you need tagged that I do not tag please feel free to message me either on or off anon or IM me and let me know. I will do my best to tag it from that point on. First and foremost, simply a reminder: this is a mutuals only blog. I find myself incredibly selective in who I follow simply because I do not have the time, I get overwhelmed if my dash is too active. I also tend to stay away from blogs with incredibly heavy triggers, simply for comfort reasons. That being said I am very easy going and will likely follow you after going through your blog. Even if we aren't mutuals, though, please come talk to me - I keep my inbox open at all times for such things.
I do go on unannounced following sprees, usually when I find myself following over 500 blogs, or if my dash is far too busy and I cannot manage to get through it. These following sprees are usually blogs I have not interacted with, do not see myself interacting with, or have not been active for a week or more (without interacting). Other reasons that I may unfollow you include: copious amounts of untagged porn, untagged triggering topics (mainly water), uncut posts, and simply lack of interaction.
I tend to avoid teen wolf fandom blogs due to a horrible past with them. there are also several blogs that cause anxiety and as such I avoid them as much as I can, if you interact heavily with one I may not follow.
My terms on duplicates are that I don't mind you exist, actually I love that you also love this character as much as I do! That being said I tend to operate in a "I exist in my bubble you exist in yours". If you'd like to tak to me feel free to message me, but I don't go out of my way to make contact first.

I am slow. I say this because I do, in fact, have more than one blog and responsibilities in real life. Please do not harass me for replies, but if there is a reply in my queue that you would really want, ask. It's very likely that so long as my schedule allows it I will happily post it from my queue. FATHER: Miltek Altin. A strict man, raised by a Korean soldier he adopted his father's almost militant standards for how to run a family. Despite this Miltek is a very kind man, at his core, having a soft spot for his children in one way or another. MOTHER: Ayaulym Altin. A very sweet and loving woman, she is the woman who will pour you tea and listen to all of your life story, problems, and understand everything. She's raised five children and has the patience of a Saint because of it. SIBLINGS: Makhmud (brother, 22), Inkar (sister, 14), Bibigul (sister, 9), Aruzhan (sister, 7).

MENTAL
Education: Otabek was given an interesting education given his skating career began so young. He had a traditional primary schooling, but his middle (grades 5-9) were spent in several different countries. He began his schooling in Kazakhstan, but then moved to Russia over the summer, from there he didn't return to traditional schooling. He moved to America, and then Canada, where private tutors were brought in to teach him around training. Upon returning home to Almaty at seventeen he has since spoken with and discovered what he needed. As of the end of season one he has a diploma and may be going for further education though it is not decided. Intelligence: Otabek is intelligent. He may not be a genius, but he's sharp. He is more observant and puzzle-oriented, logic dominates his mind, though he can be creative when he wants.
SPIRITUAL
Faith: Otabek is Muslim, meaning he practices Islam. This is something he was raised in, something he is VERY aware of, though not very vocal about. That being said it wasn't an easy decision when he traveled abroard given how he knows how the world views Islam. Belief: Gnostic theist. Otabek believes there is a God, believes that his religion is real and it is very important to him.
BEHAVORIAL
Mannerisms: He is very polite, very quiet man and his mannerisms reflect this. His hand motions are small and contained to his body, not one for large movements even within his skating. That being said he does move his hands quite a bit when talking, though they are all small motions. Habits: tba Hobbies: cars and motorcycles. While Otabek doesn't indulge often he enjoys looking at cars, fixing them, so on and so forth. He favors motorcycles, fixing them up.

main & canon This verse takes place during and after the events of season one. Currently Otabek is 18 years old, came in 4th at the gpf and intends on taking a two week break in Almaty before moving to St. Petersburg, Russia, to prepare for the next season already.

secondary & past This verse follows the events of Otabek as a child in Kazakhstan and then traveling around the world to train.

secondary & past This verse is when Otabek is approx. 24-25, possibly retired.
I do this for my sanity more than anything - it isn't that I want to exclude people, it's simply that over time my muse does begin to only see one version of a character as the only version. It makes it easier for me to retain muse by going exclusive with them, and I feel it's fair that way so I'm not giving people halfhearted replies.
That being said I do practice mutual exclusivity and I would never force it on a person. Please talk to me about it.
I do also practive semi-exclusivity which is more like mains where I will have one or two versions of the same character that I interact with but am not looking for new versions. My current exclusives are listed below.
Otabek is a very quiet and distant muse, he doesn't even enjoy the company of many other skaters let alone romancing them. That being said I prefer to ship strictly with my girlfriend. on the note of otabek x yuri it IS the main ship on this blog. Yes I understand that Otabek is (freshly) 18 and Yuri is 15 (16 in March) - but I will remind you that it is not illegal for them to date. The only thing that is illegal is them having sex, WHICH I have worked out a timeline with kotyurik in which they do not have sex until Yuri's 18th birthday.
